Looking for S80 input...... S80 2000

I have a 2000 S80 T6 with 61,000 km of mostly highway driving on it. This is my first Volvo after many years of longing for one...headroom issue. Unlike the other respondents thus far, my experience with the vehicle is such that I would get another one without hesitation. It is a dream to drive, very stable and very quiet with excellent acceleration. My problems to date have been mostly minor although the front brake calipers were changed under warranty around 40000 km mark. I was told this was not a common problem with the car. I have had a cricket noise from the glove box which was solved, a chafed seatbelt which the dealer could have easily repaired but replaced, and a headlight that burned out. My service dealer is BK Volvo in Kitcherner Ontario and I believe they are under the impression they own the car...thats the kind of service I get. And NO, I do not work for them, have no relatives or know anyone who does. As a matter of fact, I didn't even buy the car there. I get my service there because of word of mouth recommendation.

I am not an aggressive driver, I use synthetic oil changing it every 6000 km and I idle the engine briefly after cold starts and before shut down for turbo charger longevity (compressor lubrication and spool down). My understanding is that pre-2000 S80's did have numerous teething problems which so far I have been free from.

Best of success with your decision...
Dave B.
