Factory Rep? V70-XC70

Hi,

Have you talked to a Volvo Factory Representative? If not then I would set up an appointment and have a One on One with the Factory Rep. Make sure there is no Volvo Dealership person in sight or hearing range of your conversation. Be honest and positive when stating you position/situation to the Factory Rep and state what “You” would like to have done to get you back to being a happy Volvo customer. You might be surprise what you will get out of a Factory Rep. And do not mention any Lawyers! Ford Motor Corp. has an Army of Lawyers with very deep pockets. You do not want to go down that path. It will only lead to you frustration with no results.

I personally know of 2 Volvo XC owners who have gotten a New XC at a Great Discount (well over 1/3 off of sticker) for having the same problem you are currently having. So give it a shot but “KEEP IT POSITIVE”!

I own a 99 XC that has had 21 different failures (some more then once) with over 33 trips to the Dealer for repairs in the past 3 years (that is almost 1 trip a month). I have talked to 2 different Factory Rep (the first Factory Rep was let go by Volvo) on 5 different occasions about failures on my 99 XC. And I can Honestly say at this time I still “Love” the dam Car and I still like Volvo! I don’t know why I like the car but I do. Would I buy another Volvo you might ask? Only if Volvo did some design changes to their transmissions which to date I have not yet seen (the S80 has the change but the S60, V70 and S40 do not).

Good Luck,

Steven ~;-)
