Codebreaker needed S70 1999

You're visiting a Volvo dealer that can't sell you maintenance parts for your '99 V70? I find that very hard to believe, working for a dealer myself. I also have yet to meet an experienced dealer parts guy who can't read any Volvo product data tag IF he even needed to maintenance parts (shouldn't need to for that).
Can you be more specific?
