Lumbar issue (97 850) 850 1997

Fixing the lumbar isn't too bad of a job. Pliers to remove the hog rings on the seat back (replace them with zip-ties), other minor ripout (mind the plunger for the SIPS airbag!) and pull the cover up.

AC compressor: You'll need to defeat the pressure switch in order to get it to draw any refrigerant into the system. As long as it's just a problem of low freon, bridging that switch should allow the compressor to kick on, draw it in and you should be back in business. I had to do this on my '95 @~125K miles. I maybe added one more time on the way to 200k.
