It is not unheard of to have a lumbar cable break, especially ion a large heavy person sits in it long enough. Just as easy to fix as a 240, once the skin is off.

Or, you could look around for a 1998 driver's seat and swap it.

The electric seats do not have a manual position. It is also possible that the foam padding is ripped in places and in need of repair.
