Heater core to heater pipes screw/bolt and random vac line V70-XC70 1998

I have the V70 mostly back together but...

The heater coupling, new hoses and new core are finally in. Went to attach the AL pipes to the core and none of the "leftover" fasteners I have seem to do the job. I m 99% sure it should be the T25 screw but it won't bite. So wrong fastener or am I just not getting them pulled together enough for it to engage?

After the PCV service I have one vac line that cannot seem to find a home. White plastic line with a 90 degree elbow that is attached to the coolant pipe behind the block. Ideas?

I am beginning to hate this car. The vac line thing was a fiasco because all the colored dots on the TCV (?) were not present so I had to rewatch a video about three times. The Volvo branded firewall heater hose coupler I got had the notch cut on the wrong side. I just hate working on a car I do not know without the factory service manuals. I can do it but it quadruples the time. For example can do a red block water pump on the shoulder of the Dan Ryan Expressway in about 35 minutes in the rain.
