EDIT: Once you unplug the DIM, the key must not go back in the ignition until you have plugged in the DIM again. The car is not driveable. You may want to disconnect the ground on the battery for 10 minutes prior to unplugging the DIM, just to be safe.
The Xemodex video is perfect. Rub your Torx driver tip on a magnet to permanently magnetize it. CLEAN the top of the steering wheel cover before you put it back.
For $350, you ship the DIM to Xemodex, they repair it and send it back to you. I would expect 2-3 days turn around. They use next day shipment.
For $550, they send you a replacement DIM and you send them your old one. And they then give you $100 for the core. This is for no down time.
If the window doesn't work, a Volvo scanner or PC based scanner will be needed to determine what is wrong. It could be a bad wire at the door jamb???? A loose wire at the window motor??
A 2002 S80 with a T6? And it still runs? They aren't worth a lot in my neighborhood. Especially when dealers don't repair, they just throw new parts at it and charge accordingly.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
