Hi Klaus,
Thanks. Just checked. Neg terminal had some surface corrosion which I cleaned, then reconnected and started car. Voltage at battery terminals with engine running is 9.7v. Sounds like the alternator is bad? I wouldn't think a car with <100k would have a bad alternator. Is there a way to isolate it or should I just go for it and replace the alternator?
I'm putting a charge on the battery now and will retest in about an hour.
