I may not be of any help, because I took the harness off. I figured the stress from sretching it was much worse then removing the harness from the back of the light socket assembly. Besides those connectors were designed with exactly that purpose in mind. But I am not a Volvo mechanic, or any other mechanic for the matter. Maybe someone else knows of a good reason not to disconnect the harness?
