2000 S70 non turbo heating and air problem S70

I forgot, check the fuses!

This is the resistor:

Tasca Volvo web site didn't respond this morning, they usually have very good prices also.

Some on this board have managed to repair the resistor, but my soldering skills are a bit lacking. A new diode is fairly cheap at radio shack.

The cabin temp sensor is on the front of the dash, just to the left of the ECC unit. Looks like a grill in the right most switch plate. To remove it, pull the radio out, then grab the rear of the ECC and yank it out of the dash. The radio can then go back in. Reach behind the sensor - note the angle of the electrical connector, it has to be at this angle to put back in! Slide your fingers down the barrel and feel for the 2 plastic push tabs, squeeze, and pull out the barrel. Do not drop it. Carefully clean the fan blades and remove the dirt/dust. Do not disturb the copper tube!
