You read my mind. I seem to recall the VW Beetle used a quart every 900 miles, but I may be wrong. Ah, those were the days, leaded gasoline.

I assume the OP must have looked at the usual suspect with a Turbo - the oil return line. That is pretty obvious when that is the case.
