You didn't say what year 850 you have, and I am assuming that the engine is NA. The newer NA blocks are 2.4L and yes, the heads are different. Along with the computer and wiring. I would ignore a 1993, just because of age.
The 1996+ have the fuel pressure regulator at the rear of the car, next to the fuel filter. With a little imagination you could install a 1998 into a 1994-5 without too many small problems. the 1994-5 also had different location for the speed sensor and ABS hook up.
1996-1998 are almost drop in replacements for each other.
But get a compression test first.
