Beware. The seller disconnected the battery to cover up a nagging check engine light that will come back in a week or so, usually an O2 sensor or a vacuum leak.
When the radio says OFF, it is really on! It needs to say OFF for 2 consecutive hours before it switches to CODE. When it says CODE, you need to enter the 4 digit code to activate the radio. Obviously, the current owner does not know the code - another troubling sign. Any dealer can look it up for you.
That faint odor you smell is probably antifreeze. A new heater core is called for. If you are the least bit handy, you can replace the core in about 2-4 hours.
The price is high for me.
EDIT:
The timing belt is also due very soon, 105K. Knock another $500 off for that.
