98 S70 idle problem in wet weather S70 1998

Hi Klaus,
Thank you again for your input, but after changing that manifold vacuum elbow, I cleared the codes and nothing showed up...
until this morning and it was raining. The car ran fine for about 3 or 4 min. and then the idle started to go down at a stop light, cut out and was a bit hard to get started again, but when it did, it let out alot of white smoke...

How can I check for leaks at the head gasket? and is it possible when the mechanic rebuilt the engine (tension pulley boke and killed the timming belt, and rebuilt the entire head about 6 mo ago) didn't do it correct?

Thanks again,

Greg
