A 2-2-2 is the S2 solenoid dropping out of the loop and your tranny will go into limp home mode.
Have you flushed the tranny within the last 30K miles? What color is the fluid? The dirtier the fluid, the more heat is retained.

Please, try not to let the car idle for any longer than you would sit at a traffic light.
