Leaking angle joint/tranfer case for 2004 XC90 AWD XC90

Thanks. My invoice says "angle gear" but we're clearly talking about the same thing based on the description that I got from the deal.

The odd thing is that the angle gear didn't actually fail. The claim was that there was a leak from the casing and that the seal is not serviceable so that the thing needs to be replaced (to avoid future catastrophic failure). The location where the car is parked has not evidence of anything leaking, though maybe there is a pan underneath that would catch the oil?

Frustrating to have to replace a $2,300 part in a 3.5 year old car because a seal is not serviceable (if I am to believe the dealer).
