If I remember correctly, white smoke = water, black smoke = oil, and blue smoke = gas. Black and blue are confusing, I can't remember which is which, but the smell is distinctive.
If you have to "pump" the gas pedal to start the car, and there is a small puff of non-white smoke coming out, you may have fuel pressure problems. After it starts, if it runs well, then it could be loss of fuel pressure overnight. That could be a result of the fuel pressure regulator breaking down and allowing fuel to enter the vacuum line and the intake manifold.
A new ECT sensor is needed, but I don't think you are out of the woods yet.
