2004 XC90 FWD - Frontend Clunk Noise(s) XC90

Sounds like bad swaybar endlink(s). Sometimes these appear normal with weight on them. Get up under your XC90, grab the swaybar endlinks and see if you can budge them at all. If you can, these need changing. OEM endlinks on the V70 and 90 series are notorious for wearing out quickly. www.ipdusa.com sells a heavy duty ones for much less than the OEM ones. If you have any "play" in your endlinks replace them with these. They will last much longer and get rid of your "clunk." Here's the specific link to what I'm talking about: http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsCat.aspx?CategoryID=1773&NodeID=5527&RootID=629
Hope this helps...always change them in pairs. Not many XC90 owners on here. I'm not one either, but have read about this on other forums and own a '04 V70 which uses the same part...changed mine out already too at 40K miles...same problem.
