front brake pad and rotor replacement V70-XC70 1999

Just like the old cars. But... I would press on the brake pedal after each brake is done, just to keep the fluid level down in the MC reservior.

I used a pair of channel lock pliers to compress the piston. Don't forget to clean all of the black off the slides and regrease with silicone brake grease.

My front rotors were a bear to get off, used a hammer! Then I brushed off all of the rust on the hub and gave it a light coat of grease.

Most autoparts stores sell packets of silicone brake grease for under $2, use it sparingly.
