So, a few weeks ago my 850 died at an intersection as I came to a stop. After that at 45mph it would rev and then slow down. I took it to my indy of 20+ years and he suspected the tranny. After test driving it for 50 miles the only it found to be sub standard was the 5 year old battery. New Interstate installed and the car ran fine. 300+ additional miles later all was well. Yesterday coming home from work I drive over a fine WI pothole and all dash lights come on. Car stumbles but keeps running. The last 2 miles to home it is reving and stumbling. My thoughts are the alternator or the fuel pump. Both have already been changed once, but I am thinking they may be due again. Car just turn over 100,000 miles a few months ago. I may pull the brushes on the alternator today to have a look at them.
