Based on your expeience the car being jarred by potholes and then displaying symptoms I would look for a loose or disconnected grounding strap. Unlikely fuel pump or alternator would be intermittent. Both have been replaced. Got a new battery with the last episode. Try something very cheap and different. Has some recent work been done on the car? Then start there or in that vicinity and work outwards. My guess, and it strictly is a guess, is that you have a loose or bad electrical connection somewhere important.
