Hi all
My wife's 1998 S70 Non-Turbo makes a humming noise while parked with the ignition off. It seems to be coming from the engine compartment. I had Victor do his magic to the ABS Control Module recently. Could the hum come from this? I thought about pulling the battery cable off for a hour then seeing if that makes a difference. Thinking it might reset or something.
Last week she didn't drive the car for a few days and when she tried to, the battery was dead. Winter is coming and I don't want her to get stranded.
Any ideas!

The air pump located on the duct above the air filter keeps humming a minute after shut off. This is normal

humming for awhile is normal as it is to keep the A/C purged and dry it out. However, constant is not good and as you experienced, a dead battery is the result. There is a fan relay that I've heard when goes bad will keep running even with the key off. Check the fan relay under the lip of the radiator to see if it's the culprit.
