HELP! 960 vent problem

The fixes described make sense, but the problem I have in my car, or the normal thing, is a bit different. My 960 cuts off power during acceleration, specially uphill, then the air resumes when RPM, Throttle position and speed evens out. I mean by this that I am still accelerating to maintain speed, but not trying to get to that speed. Perhaps this is what is happening to 'gesamuels' In that case I don't think that is a vacuum problem.
