vin decoding help - and thoughts on MB diesel are appreciated

Thanks for your help. I found out the car has a Not Actual Mileage title - so I'm passing on this one. I'm still interested in diesels, but you have helped convince me to stay with my nice 244 (I have a kid on the way, and reliability, cheap parts, and acceptable acceleration should be my priorities, not biofuel experiments!). Maybe another time. But thinking about the other car has got me re-interested in getting my 244 up to par. My seat is crumbling a little and I need some body work on a problematic weld seam, and maybe brakes. Otherwise, the car is like new.
