I ran into this myself recently. I had a new compressor installed and the mechanic had no idea what it was for. Thanks to everyone on the brickboard I was able to tell the mechanic it was the AC idle kickdown and all works fine now. Just in time too...it was 110 degrees today (so what do I do on such a hot day? Start building a 51' x 12' covered carport..should have started on this when it was cooler!)
