Brake Bleeding Problems 444-544

Now that I've got my engine running, I'm trying to fix the brakes on my 63 b18 544. What kind of brake fluid should I use to bleed them? Will DOT 3 work?

Also, the front passenger's side brake fluid drain valve seems to be broken off so all there is is a hole flush with the drum. What can I do about this?
