This idea,and others like it,comes up from time to time, and it is one that I find very appealing. Another one that I like is about compiling a list somewhere of what non-Volvo tools work well for jobs that don't come up often enough to justify going out to buy the real thing. My feeling is that the BB would be good place for that, but that the tool-exchange-cum-mutual-aid society is really more of a natural for regional VOAC chapters - precisely because of the regional nature of these groups. This is just an observation, and by no means intended to discourage anyone from getting the ball rolling on what you are suggesting. Meanwhile,I plan to use this Board to broadcast my occasional special tool needs to my fellow Northern New Englanders. For the real toughies I might include Nova Scotia (Brett, here I come),Southern New Brunswick, and Southern Quebec, but only in summer. ;-)
