front bumper 200 1988

I would take off the bumper first and check out the damage.
You'relooking at the car frame, the bumper itself, and, inbeween, the shock absorbers the bumper mounts to. The shock absorber on the side where your car took the hit may be collapsed or distorted.
These shock absorbers don't pull back or bend back in place very easily in my own sad experience, so if one of these guys is messed up, that's what I'd be looking for at the pick and pull.
