the first step i use is easy off oven cleaner and some clean white rags, spray oven cleaner on plastic lens and let sit for about 10 seconds and wipe off quickly.
do this about 4 or 5 times and watch the white rags turn yellow.
then i use crome polish and finish up with car wax.
works pretty good. i learned this on the brickboard of course. good luck
