How do I tell if I have new or used shocks/struts..I may have been ripped off. 700

Just go back to the shop that did the work and ask to see the invoice for the parts they put in your car. Tell them you would like to see it and find out what brand strut/part number they used. Tell them you want it for your records for when you sell the vehicle.
