How did you replace the bolt?

The '86 and '89 I worked on had bolts with a sort of flattened round head on the bolt. No hex or anything. I don't think a regular bolt would fit in the space between the two heavy steel plates there.

Can you easily get that fastener in a hardware store, or did you maybe go to a Volvo dealer for a replacement?
