It doesn't matter what year Ford -- they're all the same. I think the one I bought was for a 1991. But ANY Bosch 3-wire sensor from any car will work. The Ford just happens to be very inexpensive. Although I've never priced one, I bet the O2 sensor for a Chevy (350 or 305 for example) would be comparably priced.

These sensors will work on any Volvo with Bosch ignition/fuel injection. (All Volvo turbos have the Bosch system, and SOME non-turbo Volvos do too.) However, they WILL NOT work on Rex/Regina cars -- they use a completely different type of sensor.

The only difference between the Volvo Sensor and the Ford sensor is the connector. (And the price!)

The pricing seems to be based on the number of units produced & sold. What's really silly is that a sensor with a Ford connector actually costs less than a "generic" sensor -- which is the same sensor, WITH NO CONNECTOR ON IT AT ALL! Go figure.
