1990 Volvo 740 Odometer Problem 700 1990

Interesting things these odometers.
When I got my 1991 740 new, I soon found out that if the trip meter is not reset exactly to 000, then it will jam the main odometer.
Since I was then leasing the car and had a limit on Kms I could drive without penalty, I found a very easy way to let 28,000 miles slip by unrecorded.

Well now my car is at 440,000 Kms and runs sweetly still.
