Bungee cord did the trick (pics) 1800 1967

Uhhhh, free I guess. It was my father's car when he passed away 12 years ago. He never drove it much, just bought it before he passed. Anyway, My bro-in-law got it and drove it around for the last 10 years or so. He wanted to keep it in the family, got tired of working on it, has 3 kids, so it went to me.

There's actually large rusty holes in the frame rails at the inside edge of the fenders. Completely invisible unless you crawl under the car. The floorpans and trunk are OK but there's qite a bit of Bondo on the car, some from 20 years ago and some from when my bro-in-law got run into. The bodyshop bastages clearcoated the whole front clip and now it's all peeling. I HATE CLEARCOAT!

All the rubber is shot. I filled three 1/4" to 1" gaps in the windshield gasket with black RTV to keep the water out. There's a couple of gaps in the back window gasket too that are now silicone.

The pictures are very decieving, the car is not that good. Dash is cracked, seats are okay, the carpet is rotted clear down to the plywood behind the back seat. Wiring is a mess and only one gauge out of seven works.

So don't be too jealous!
