M46

Hello Evan,

What 'went bad' in the ones that you saw?

I'm getting what I think is bearing noise (it "growls" at me, particularly between 1500-2000rpm and under light throttle) from mine in 2nd and 3rd. Had someone tell me that I need to replace the input shaft bearing, and if that is the case I think it is about the same amount of time and labor as a clutch job?

Trying to figure out whether this is repairable, or whether I should start hunting for another M46.

Thanks,
Chuck
