What is an acceptable 'service life' for the M46, assuming that the ATF is changed every 50K miles or so? I have one that is getting noisy (2nd and 3rd gear) at 230k. Is it relatively easy, or even possible, to rebuild the gearbox? Are parts available for this purpose?
