You have some good suggestions here, but the problem is that if the radiator is leaking now, it WILL fail in the very near future. And when these radiators (aluminum core, plastic "end tanks") fail, they fail in spectacular fashion - rapid loss of coolant, causing the engine to overheat and warp the head before you can pull off the road and shut the car down.
A brand new Nissens is about $250 or so if memory serves. A head job, if you can't DIY, will run over a grand. If you are really strapped, Kane has a good idea - look for a used rad in the junkyard or buy his. For $50 it's a steal...
