I believe that it's possible the radiator could also cause
this type of symptom. Check when last flushed & coolant
changed. If it's been 2 years or more, would probably be good
to flush and refill. Also, possible radiator is aged and not
performing 100%. I've read about 10 years is general life.
Our 245 similiarly has had temp guage spike up a couple of times,
but not very often. The radiator has about 15 years on it.
I've read of radiators failing both without warning and with warning.
Seems that they're not real predictable. Probably something to
consider is changing it if it's the original. IPD and others sell
a metal version (upgrade) which replaces the plastic sides type which
can be problematic -- plastic breaks easily, etc.
