Hot start problem question 700

What I think you're doing when you apply 12v to that spade-terminal, is bypassing the ignition switch - which means you've got a fault in that igniton-switched line. If you have a meter, rig it up to that terminal and see if you get 12v when trying an ignition-key start. You could also rig up a test-bulb to check this.

If you dont get consistent 12v all the time, I would check the wiring for a loose connection, or your ignition-switch itself.
