German 240 wagon/

If you got it with a complete set-up of Euro lamps and side blinkers, that is an obvious difference to the better.

A European 1988 240 could have had one of several motor alternatives. Here in Scandinavia, there were three. A carb'ed version
(B230K, Solex Cisac carb, T-cam, CR 10.5:1, 116 BHP, 19.6 kpm @ 2,500 rpm)
and two injected versions
(B230E, K-jet, V or A-cam, CR 10.3:1, 129 BHP, 19.4 kpm @ 3,000 rpm
OR
B230F, LH-jetronic, M-cam, CR 9.8:1, 113 BHP, 18.8 kpm @ 2,750 rpm).

Some markets also got the B200E engine, I wouldn't know if that goes for the 1988 year models.

Anyway, I'd give the engine a closer look if I were you.

Erling.
