240 wagon vs. lumber

Sort of a stretch 240?

If you carry 8ft lumber often, why not get a 240 wagon and remove the front passenger seat? This would give you the needed space for 2x4s. An even more useful wagon would be a 940. This has a split rear seat. You could reove the front passenger seat and still use a section of the rear in case you needed to carry a passenger while hauling some lumber.

I'm with you on the pickup. I have a '76 Dodge 1/2 ton which only gets 10-12 mpg. I only use it when I have something really big, really dirty, ot the camper trailer to haul. Last year I only put about 1500 miles on it.
