whats wrong with my brick?

Thanks in advance for any info. My 94 945 turbo has developed several noticeable problems lately.
1. Brakes/suspension - when slowing down, especially at highway speeds, the steering wheel and front end shake a great deal and then i notice a grinding noise as car nears a stop. Replaced front brakes 3 times in 6 months and replaced control arm bushings. Problem persists. help me.

2. Startup - car is slow to turn over and feels like it will stall when you first apply gas after startup. Also, idle hovers around 600 but every few minutes jumps between 300 and 800, even after warmup.

3. Smoke/Noise/Power loss - when full power is applied from stop or low speed, driver is rewarded with a cloud of brown smoke and a noise ressembling a ball bearing being shaken in a tin can. Boost at wide open throttle has dropped from 12psi to 9psi, and boost at part throttle has dropped from 6-8 psi to 2-3psi. Turbo is also taking much longer to spool up. I usually use a filter screen when I change the oil. Last time I changed it i noticed black dirt like specs trapped in the filter screen.

4. When the car shifts under boost, there is a low moaning sound and the transmission seems to slip. I change the fluid every 10k miles and the last few times it has been night black.

I have modified the car with a manual boost controller and I removed the baffles from and cut holes in the bottom of the airbox. I did all this nearly a year ago and have had no problems until now. Please help! This car has to last me through college!
