I am only now getting back to removing the cluster. Bit of a pain pushing in the clips and trying to pull the bezle at the same time. I also put a screwdriver on the side and helped pry it out. Really need to push a long way in on the side slots.
To repair the gauge the connector is the long connector below and to the right (as you face the instrument cluster from the front) on the back of the cluster. I removed the connector and crimped each of the pins then reinstalled. Works OK for now. If it stops I will just repeat.
