shift lock problems 200 1992

Because it is intermittent, the problem is likely to be a very fine electrical break, like that of a cracked fuse, solder joint or corrosion. The shift lock should have basic power if, (1) the brake lights do indeed light and (2) the AC snowflake lights when turned on. Try to check those two things next time it happens.
