All right everybody - listen up!
I'm located in Denmark - collected and drove Volvo always and have 10 of them today.
Some time ago I decided to build up a little business with my huge hobby as a enormous "goodwill" - so in not so long, you'll hopefully be able to surf by one of the most dedicated sites to the classic Volvo's.
The main core of the site and business is originality - in data, specifications and parts and so on.
I can only give you a small idea at the moment - for instance: When you look into the spareparts catalog, for body-parts - there will be photos of all items availeble - and on top splitviews (?) from spareparts catalogs - and tastefully photo's from the Torslunda factory and so on..
I have always loved pictures of a classic Volvo in od places - and take a look at "Damian"'s profile-photo - a 122S in Colerado Wauu!..
It just then came to me:
Why not set up a little competition? -and here goes:
- Picture must only show car and surroundings - No people and preferable not to much "noise"
- Picture must be in such qaulity, that I can use them on my site, (600x800-like, in + 72 resolution)
- I will state name and owner of the car if used on my site, and I must be allowed to use the picture on my site freely. (I will NOT retouche anything stupid or missuse)
- "Classic Volvo" is a 444/544, 120/130/220, 140/160 or P1800 in reasonable original condition (at least from the outside) -so please no half-finnished pick-up conversions - but if you have an 122S with custompaint -flames all over and chromed wheels - please then make sure the surroundings the photo was shot in, match!
Email freely to me - ALL photos with included name/adress and meet my ideas from above, will recieve a little gift in return - I'll setup the photos for a votation and the winner will recieve a giftcertificate to my webshop worth free shipment worldwide for 3 orders!
Hope this wasn't to long - and hope it sounds like a fun thing to participate in!
- Drive your lovely old brick to the LA-desert - shoot a photo with a nuclearbomb-test in background
- drive it to the foot of Mount Everest, shoot!
- park it next to the landed shuttle, Florida
Use the best of your imagination - go for that photo that wins!
Thank you all in advance - I'll keep you updated!
/Soren
