I'm still in the same boat with my 88 240GL, no 4th gear. I've found and taken out the OD relay. It clicks, it works. I've sat in the car, ignition on, engine off and clicked the OD button. No sound from the solenoid under the car. I can use the lift at my high school in a couple days, but have no idea what im looking for. Or exactly what to do, Ive skimmed over the article in the help section about cleaning the solenoid, but it wasnt much help considering i dont know what it looks like. Any pictures and further instruction would be greatly appreciated.
