new dizzy,
new rotor arm,
new leads,
new plugs,
no error codes in ecu OBD
fuel pump relay replaced
symptoms - sometimes it is a bitch to start - taking a minute of cranking to get any life from it. once fired, runs perfectly (very slight missfire occasionally.) fuel filter replaced 1 year ago ish.
sometimes at cold (like today, after over a week of no use) it fires instantly. sometimes when hot fires instantly - hot / cold / warm seems to make no difference.
All plugs to sensors checked, all clean and no corrosion.
Fuses checked and all seem tight / good power.
If I get desparate, and 'bump' it out of my driveway, even after cranking it for ages (new battery btw) it fires on the first turn of the engine and runs fine again.
fuel pressure seems ok (crude test of see-how-far-over-the-engine-it-squirts type test - seems about right ;) )
One thing i have noticed is that it uses a tiny bit of water, about a cupful every 500 miles.
on the pipes to the windscreen squirters is a T piece, red, this has a (manufactured) pinhole in it that leaks very slightly - but this is 6" to the left of the dizzy.
afaik its sparking everytime i crank it... difficult to tell on your own.
any ideas very welcome..
