960 transmission question

I belive that I misread codes my local shop suggest replacing s1 solenoid requires removal of pan. The car continiues to preform and the dash message has not returned.

The same shop replaced the pnp switch last week the same poblem with dash lights however car would not get out of lowest gear..

seems strange that the second problem would appear within one week.. I suspect that somehow a connection was "knocked loose" can and how do i check wirinf for falts ??
