Wondering what is in the 3M product? If it has zinc in it, there's a problem with welding parts coated with it: The zinc will fume when you weld on it, and the fumes can make you sick. It's the only problem with a hot galvanizing process too(other than environmental impact stuff if you're a manufacturer).
