How does Modern Volvo Owner identify the LH 2.2 and LH 2.4 cars?

Mine is '89 745T. I've scoured the message archives/FAQ's to no avail.

Specifically I'm looking to see if mine has the crank sensor; I want to know if I can use the screwdriver/bolt trick to block flex plate during timing belt change.
